Essays should be good. It’s the only thing I was satisfied with on my SAT score lol.

I admittedly struggle with the reading section but have scored around 750 Math both times when taking the PSAT and knew I blew the section as soon as I took the SAT. Took it cold and while not enrolled in a math class. Knew I could do the problems just couldn’t remember how!

Taking September ACT and October Sub Tests, both with prep course! Much more comfordtable with ACT! Probably take SAT 1 once more as well.

*I know my chances of getting in are not likely (not many have likely chances here for that matter with the unpredictability of admissions, I of course not one of them). I was wondering if it would be a waste of time to apply or if I would have a legitimate shot of maybe getting a spot in. Thanks again to whoever offers an opinion!

It would not be a waste. Your stats and ECs are pretty solid. You should definitely try to take the SAT again, maybe after using one of those books to study the math you "just couldn't remember how" to do. Your score will almost definitely go up.

A word about essays, because they are THE MOST IMPORTANT PART of your application. Start early, and revise, revise, revise. Personal essays are completely different (and more difficult) to write than analytical essays of the type tested on the SAT, so don't get too confident in that. Having said that, anyone can write a good personal essay as long as it's honest and says something about you. Good luck!
