Hi I’m in my junior year and have decided that I’m set on going to the US Coast Guard Academy. I have an unweighted 3.9 GPA and 4.5 GPA. My SAT score is 2050. I’m waiting for my ACT score. I participate in a four clubs (community service or amnesty oriented) and am the editor of my high school newspaper. I am a fit person and played lacrosse for 2 years. This year I’m playing golf. I’ve taken mostly honors classes 9th-10th grade. 11th and 12th grade I have (or will have) most AP, some honors and very few regular classes/electives. I’ve always had this passion for my country, serving others, and learning about humanities/government. My own principles and goals are very similar if not exact to the core values of the USCGA.
What are my chances, and do you have any advice on how I should prepare to apply? Thank you for your time!
