thanks bedhead.. I will call schools and ask them after I take GMAT...

Why not before? If the answer is, "No -- we don't take students without a Bachelor's," then save yourself the trouble of the GMAT.

I think MD is better than bachelor's and I checked their websites yesterday and its not required but more than 99% students come with bachelors , masters or advanced professional degree... So I think MD counts as advanced degree. But I will still give them a call and make sure... I went to 1 year undergrad college and have about 42 credit hours including business and engr. calculus. But I think I'll definitely give them call to make sure.. Thanks bluedevilmike

people my question was 'what are my chances getting admission??' and everyone is answering or asking reason why I want to go to business school... I am not trying to be rude or anything but I did not get answer...

Regarding your other question, as I said, call the schools yourself and ask.

Who the hell knows if you'll get in? The answers/questions here reflect the fact that yours is an unusual situation and people don't really get it. And they aren't going to have an idea of whether or not you'll get in -- I don't know if you should trust whatever you might hear here -- so if you don't want to be rude, listen to some good advice, call the friggin' schools and ask yourself.

Here's what you can ask: "I realize that in most, or really all, cases business schools prefer to accept applicants with at least a few years of work experience. But in my case my work experience would involve [state your experience]. First of all, could my experience be seen to be meeting your basic work experience de facto or real requirements or would you likely dismiss my application out of hand? Secondly, if it does meet the requirements, would I in your mind have probably decent chances in the "admissions competition"?

If this doesn't satisfy you, if it makes you feel any better: I think you'll get in to every school to which you apply. On the other hand, given what I know, the opposite is equally possible.

Thanks BedHead... I'll do this tomorrow...

Personally, I do not think your chances are that great. If you had an MD after your name and a clear vision for what you want to accomplish, I would say your chances are excellent.

I wonder about the Bachelor's and I wonder about the specific MD. But there's nothing to do but ask.

thanks guys... I'm going to call schools tomorrow and I'll post what they have to say.. Thanks again.. :)

I think it is hard to evaluate your situation since it is so unusual. I agree that you should get your MD license first, and work a few years to get a better sense of what you want to do.

I called few schools and they said 'it is possible without BS degree if you have MD.' They do have few MDs in their program without work experience. Thanks people for help

"people my question was 'what are my chances getting admission??' and everyone is answering or asking reason why I want to go to business school... I am not trying to be rude or anything but I did not get answer..."

One, no one is going to know what your chances are, aside from an admissions person or if you negatively stand out.

Two, the most import aspect of the application process are the essays convincing the schools why you want to go and why from their particular school. So, until readers are able to assess this for your case, it is especially difficult to make any predictions.
