Hello!
I am still a freshman. But I am already preparing, four years can pass by quick. Better start now than later. I am currently curious about my current plan and if it would be a good plan for University of Pensylvania (Wharton School of Business) or Harvard Business School. My best subjects are currently in Math, I am taking geometry this year and going to take Algebra 2 over the summer. Later on, I will take the Math Level 2 SAT Subject Test. I am going to take 4 years of science and Spanish, I will be taking the highest level I can with these. I also play Piano, I am going to be taking several rigorous Piano tests where you perform in front of a judge and they judge you. And I assuming I am going to be getting at least 1500 on my SATs. But here comes my weakness, Language. I am not very good at Language, so I don’t know how I will be doing in English classes, I might take some regular Language classes. And I am ok with History, I mostly likely will take AP History classes, but for sure I am will take one AP history class because I have no option. So, what do you think, do I have a chance at getting into these ivy league schools?
Thank you,
Mark
HBS is a graduate program yo
^ better to finish high school and your first four years of college before thinking about the next two.
Also, you don’t go to either of these schools straight from undergrad. The typical path is 2 to 4 years of work experience after graduating, then you return to get your MBA. This is true of most (all?) top business schools.
While Wharton does offer an undergraduate program Harvard Business School is graduate only. Before asking advice here on CC you should read the websites for information on these school.
Sorry just realized that maybe you meant Wharton’s undergrad program. Yes you can enter that directly from high school, but Harvard Business School is MBA only.
What are your chances of getting into those schools? We have literally no idea until you come back junior year with a GPA, test scores, and extra-curriculars you actually end up doing.
Hell, even if you have a perfect GPA it’s still difficult. Don’t fixate on getting into a top school because it’s always a “crapshoot”
