I have taken and am taking all my high school's honors and AP courses. Since there were no more advanced classes to take, I am taking a college class at a local community college for dual credit.
SAT:
Math - 770
Writing - 570
Reading - 610
I'm going to retake the SAT, and this time I've studied my grammar and vocab and taken many practice tests. I'm hoping I can get somewhere in the 700s for writing, and I'm hoping I'll break 700 for reading.

SAT IIs
math level 2 - 800
chemistry - 730

I have a pretty good rec letter from my english teacher, and maybe a pretty good one from my chemistry teacher. I also have really good letters from my youth pastor and tennis coach. All the people who have written recommendation letters have seen me go through some kind of adversity and overcome it, and all of them have seen me go through different situations of adversity.

Also, my father has a mental illness, and we are relatively poor so I've written about the stuff we endured as a family, and how I came out of it stronger. Plus, I've mentioned in some applications that I intend to write a book about my mother and father because they have a pretty amazing story, and my father's life is kinda like the movie, A beautiful mind. I think my family situation can help make me diverse from the other applicants.

I am also from the midwest.
Lastly, I am half asian(southeast) and half white. I am probably not going to put my ethnicity on applications since I would probably be a disadvantage.

For those of you who have read this, thanks and please give me some feedback!
