My Chances to Transfer! Please Help!

I failed to get into any colleges that I applied during my senior year. So I came to community college in 2012 to transfer to 4 year university. My test scores and extracurriculars are all pretty ok as you can see at the bottom, but I had a suspension for academic dishonesty when I was in junior in high school. The colleges do not ask for the record from my high school, but the common application still asks me if I had committed any undisciplinary action. I know I have to write the essay, but it is so difficult to explain my situation and I did something really bad. My friends and I tried to steal a test from a classroom while a teacher was unattended.
As for community college, I only had one quarter and I am currently in second quarter. I am trying to transfer to colleges by next year and my applications are due by March 15th, which is next week.

My high school Record:
Weighted GPA: 4.04
ACT: 29
SAT2 Math 2C: 800
SAT2 Chemistry: 790
SAT2 Biology E: 740
SAT2 US: 730
SAT2 Biology M: 730
AP US: 5
AP Calculus BC: 5/4
AP Calculus AB: 5
AP Biology: 5
AP Chemistry: 5
AP Physics: 3
AP Statistics: 4
TOEFL: 107

My College Record:
Unweighted GPA: 4.0
These are all my test records

Extracurricular: Intern at East Asia Institute, Secretary in Red Cross Club, Basketball Assistant coach, Volunteer tutor for Mentally ills, engineering club, President of Math Competition club, Varsity Basketball, 1st in AISA Tournament, AMATYC 8th place in my community college, AP scholars award, Basketball coach for a middle school

With my suspension record, do you think I have a shot in any of the colleges for Transfer?
Vanderbilt University
Rice University
Johns Hopkins University
Emory University
Notre Dame University
Washington University in St. Louis

It would have to be a damn good explanation essay, showing real remorse. Also, the more time between the incident and now, the better. This may mean waiting until junior year to transfer.

Are you sure they don’t ask you to fill out the secondary school report which asks the counsellor if you had any disciplinary action?

I think that it could really limit your chances at transferring unless you write a GOOD letter.

I agree with the posters above. I think that waiting for more time to pass would be your best bet for getting into those colleges. I also really hope that you never again refer to individuals with disorders as “mentally ills.”

I agree that “mentally ills” is not politically correct, but I don’t think the OP intended to be demeaning.

Imagine if he were to write “Volunteer for the mentally ills” on his college app though.

Language matters in essays for applications and in daily life.

i don’t understand the rush to transfer either. time heals all wounds.
