<p>Would these scores and classes get me into UF? I want to be an Engineering Major. im a Senior and was wondering if I could get into University of Florida with these SAT scores and classes. I want to be an Engineering major SAT: CR:530 Math:690 Writing:610 My GPA is around a 3.9 and i'm in high level mathematics classes such as AP Calculus and College Algebra. I also play Varsity Tennis and i'm on the Academic Team. Just wondering if anyone would have a good idea if i could or not. Thanks :) oh yea I'm A white male and I'm a Florida resident.</p>
<p>Obviously that CR score isn’t great, but you are an engineering major, and your chances are decent (assuming that 3.9 is out of 4.0). <p>The University of Florida is an extremely competitive school. It IS considered a Public Ivy League. Also, since they receive a large volume of applicants they’re are all about the numbers. Therefore, I def. suggest you try and raise your Reading and Writing SAT score.
No offense, but it just becomes more competitive for you since you’re white.
You’re good match/safety for all the other schools you listed, especially schools like UCF and UNF and USF.

<p>Yea thanks a lot guys! It really sucks that i’m at a disadvantage because of my race 
really unconstitutional it seems. Also I really want to raise my Reading score but UF comes out with their decision in February so they wouldn’t get my scores in time for that if i took the SAT again would they? I’m probably gonna take it again anyway just to get the 1270 for 100% scholarship. I guess I just have to hope i get in with the scores I have in CR :\ Hopefully I get in since i’m going to be an Engineering Major anyway! haha.</p>
