Hello everyone!

I know my Early Action admissions decision will come to me in less than two weeks, but my combination of nervousness/excitement has inspired me to turn to you all for the time being.

I am wondering what you think my chances are? I'll list my stats, etc. and my story thus far. I'm sorry if it seems incompelte/rushed, I'm a little frazzled but want to put it up now =)

I am a male senior at a public high school.

2260 SAT: 800 cr, 740 writing, 720 math 790 Molecular Bio SAT II, 790 Math II (my US history will probably not be looked at, since it won't really help my application) AP Exams: BC Calc - 5, AB Subscore - 5, AP Physics - 5, AP Bio - 5, AP US - 4 4.0 GPA Unweighted, 4.7 weighted 4th or 5th in class (one of the two) unweighted Primary interests/Majors: Molecular Bio/Biochem/Biophysics/Computational Bio (depends on what programs the college offers. Pretty much biology on a molecular scale OR mathematical biology) and Mathematics.

I am heavily involved in the theater at my school; we have a wonderful program, and I have absolutely immersed myself in it over my 4 years (President of Drama Club, performed tons of shows, trips, Improv, etc.) I have played piano for about 7 years (It is one of my passions) A few other activities (most of them for numerous couple years) include academic team, club soccer, habitat for humanity, volunteering at a nature center, National Honor Society (current VP) Last summer, I had a 40 hour/week 8 week internship at the National Cancer Institute. I am continuing my research now through the year (half my day is spent at the lab). My primary project deals with genetic sequencing of patients with a rare recessive disease, and side projects include genetics of cancer, phylogeny of protein transporter family, etc.

I am a Rensselaer Medalist I am NM Commended Maryland Distinguished Scholar I was asked by my Calc III teacher if I would teach his BC class new material during his 2 day absence I have presented my independant research at numerous scientific symposia, including the National ABC Transporter Workshop

I was fortunate enough to receive an Alumni Interview. My interview was with an OB/GYN in a neighboring county. The interview went EXTREMELY well; we got along great, he was very impressed with me, he said he can tell I love Yale/know all I should about it/would fit in there, etc. I gave him my resume, transcript, and my abstract as well.

So now I wait. Any feedback would be appreciated; I understand how extremely competitive top schools are, and I KNOW I am not a shoe in or anything of the sort (I'm sorry if I came across as full of myself or anything). I just feel that my love of being involved in activities, especially theater, and my experience and proficiency in science mean I could contribute uniquely to the Yale student body, and I would be able to flourish and grow there. I really hope I get in. Best of luck to you if you are also applying :)

Thanks in advance (sorry about walls of text!)
