Very competitive. Apply now.

Application deadline is Feb 1, 2011.

The application for the Class of 2015 (entering June 27, 2011) is now open.

[United States Coast Guard Academy Application](http://admissions.uscga.edu/i2e/app/)

Should I wait for my results from dec’s act and sats to come in first?

No. Do not wait.

Apply now, update your application later.

You must get in the system now to begin the DODMERB qualification process, which could (theoretically) take months to complete if there are medical remedials or DQs.

To echo what Luigi said, don’t wait. The application process is a long and rigorous one with many steps to be completed. With the final deadline looming (closer than it may seem), you need to get at it and finish it as quickly as you can.

One of the hardest lessons cadets learn as they begin their Academy career is time management. There is no sense in procrastination, which can create a problem later…go for it.

Alright,I completed first part of the process, now onto the essays.
