Tell me what you think of my chances of admission at Yale undergrad:

I am a high school senior with a 3.95 unweighted GPA and a 4.22 weighted GPA.

SAT I:
Math 790
CR 690
Writing 800
Total 2280

SAT II:
Math 2 800
Physics 780
Literature 670

I also scored 5s on AP English Lang and comp and AP Physics and a 4 on Ap spanish.

ECs:

I have played flamenco guitar since I was 7, and have played in several benefit concerts, raising a great deal of money for charities.
I have played baseball since I was 5, have played varsity since freshman year, and have organized two separate gear drives in which I collected used gear from friends and donated it to needy baseball organizations nearby.
Those are my two big ECs but I am also on student government, am an officer in interact, a national honor society member, recipient of the AP scholar award, and am ranked in the top 5% of my class.

Normally I would not think much of my chances for admission, because although my scores are somewhat high, it is Yale. However, I had my interview last month and the interviewer was INCREDIBLY impressed with me. (He told me that he would "do what he could to ensure that Yale will be one of my choices in the spring"). Although this was a rather edifying comment, Yale says that the interview is not all that important.

So... what do you think of my chances of admission?

Your stats are pretty standard for the competitive Yale pool.

A bad interview probably matters more to influence admissions than a good one does. That corroborates the adcoms feelings about great candidates but won’t get someone admitted who was not even teetering into the admit pile. The RD admit rate this year will likely be under 7% and I wouldn’t count on a much higher admissions chance than that with a top 5% rank and a 690 CR score unless you failed to mention that you are being recruited for your sport or are a URM.

I like to think that my essays are pretty good; they complement each other well. My commonapp essay is rather artsy and eloquent while my supplement essay specifically details my experience with a certain charity for which I rose money in a benefit concert.

In terms of diversity, I don’t have much on my side. I am a white male from a well-off family. I like to think that my odd art of the flamenco guitar brings some sort of diversity to the table. I have won some local competitions for which I received monetary awards.
