I just took the TOEFL but don't know the score yet.

GPA : 3.8 (uw)
I'm out of state, international</p>

and so on..
I tried my best on the essays, I guess decent recs.

<p>Hmm, I figured you'd probably be getting all worked up by now as to why nobody is replying, so here is my honest opinion.</p>

<p>You probably know that your test scores are a little below average for Cornell. Your GPA and EC's are solid, but nothing stellar or original, if you see what I mean. And being in the international pool makes things more difficult. </p>

<p>But if you like the school, go ahead and apply. People with lower stats that yours have been accepted, so I don't see why you shouldn't if you write great essays and get good recs.</p>

<p>Test scores will hurt you a lot, especially as an international studnet.</p>

<p>Nonetheless, good essays may be able to work things in your favour. Good luck!</p>
