I'm a male from a good public high school in New York. I have a 4.2733 Weighted GPA(F: 4.1, S: 4.28, J: 4.44). My school does not have Unweighted GPA's and also does not rank. I have taken all honors with accelerated history and chemistry. For my senior year, I'm taking honors Humanities, honors calculus, 20th century physics, accelerated Spanish, AP government, and AP stats. I have an 1820 on the SAT (M: 650, CR: 540, W: 620). I plan on getting around a 1900 this October. I haven't gotten my ACT scores back, but hopefully the scores will be 29-31. I participate in the Engineering Club, Speech and Debate, and Model Congress. I have played football for 3 years and baseball for 3 years. I have a landscaping business that has been successful (work for about 15 clients). I have volunteered at a camp for two summers (30 hours) tutored a younger student (30 hours) and participated in Relay for Life (30 hours). I have a good essay and two good recommendations. What do you think my chances would be for the Tulane early action? Thanks!

Very solid except for the SAT (btw, those scores you gave add up to 1810). If you do indeed get at least a 29 on the ACT (and I am guessing that is based on practice tests? Because that is a significantly higher equivalent than the SAT you achieved) then your chances are extremely good, I think. Let’s hope for the high ACT score.

Okay thanks a lot, I meant to write 550 on CR.

I should have mentioned this, but I hope you already know it from the other postings. Make sure you go to a local Tulane event. Obviously visit campus if you can.

Okay thanks, any other opinions?

Spend some quality time on your ‘why Tulane’ essay. Show legitimate interest and be specific on exactly why you want to go to Tulane.

Okay thanks
