<p>Hello. I am a high school senior and I have recently applied to Yale University and I was wondering if the College Confidential Community could share the opinions on my chances getting in. Throughout high school I have taken several advanced level classes including honors and AP courses. I have also been taking both Chinese and French for the past four years. I am involved in several activities including tutoring, my school newspaper, Model UN and my school's diversity club. I am a mostly A and B student though I am horrible at standardized testing, I got a 1720 on my SATS. I am a black and latina, a girl and my mom went to Yale Graduate School.</p>

<p>But please read some of the existing threads first and recognize that requests for information are usually respond to more readily than Chances threads.</p>

<p>Ok, your SAT is really going to hurt you here, though race and legacy may help. GPA is also important, as are ECs, which can be anything, but should show serious dedication. I wouldn’t call acceptance impossible, but it is a high reach. Good luck!</p>
