My chances

Hey I'm an IB student, applying to Princeton next fall.
The only information I have so far is my predicted predicted grades and extra-curricular activities.

Grades:
IB Diploma candidate
Level - Subject - Predicted Grade
HL Economics 6/7
HL History 6
HL English A1 5/6
SL Math Studies 7
SL Swedish A2 4
SL Biology 4/5
3 additional points for EE & TOK
Total points: 36/45, well above world average

Extra-curricular activities:
Soccer - played since 2nd grade
Amnesty International - activist for over 1 year

whats your gpa? you dont have very good extra curricullars. test scores? your course load is good. and im sure if you have good essays and recs you will get in

I would say you would have to raise your final score a bit over 40 to stand a fair chance, in my ib-class probably at least 50% will get over 36, would be extremly supprised if it would do for princeton except if you don't have any kind of hook.

I would agree with college89, your EC's are extremely weak. And how do you have no test scores? You know you need the SAT Reasoning and 3x SAT Subject Tests?

i think 4nr is applying next fall hence the absence of SATs

Doh, "applying to Princeton next fall." is not the same as "applying to Princeton for next fall".

My bad!

"and im sure if you have good essays and recs you will get in"

very extremely stupid advice. your scores are sub-par, esp for princeton. Ur ec's dont really stand out. and im not sure, but i think your gonna have a lot of competition from other IB kids.

im just being honest for your benefit.
