Hi I just wanted to see my chances for making it into Notre Dame (or any other prestigious school for that matter) .
My schedule:
9th grade all honors courses + band+ spanish 1
10th grade all honors courses + AP US history (scored 5 on test) + spanish 2
11th grade honors chem, honors pre calc, and ALP 11 (which is a combination class of AP world and AP language and comp this frees schedule to allow more classes), engineering (scored 8/9 on pltw test) and business courses and spanish 3
12th grade (entering this year) taking ALP 12, ap calc (AB), AP physics, and engineering courses
I have a 3.975 GPA (4.01) and am ranked 27th out of 499 students
I have played summer recreational baseball every year since 1st grade (plus high school baseball sophomore year), I did JV wrestling junior year (JV rookie of the year), I started volunteering in sterile processing at hospital 3hrs/week at the start of this summer, I hold a job at a hardware store (started late april of this year) working 20 hrs/week, I am in National honor society, I also played the saxophone in 9th grade but do not anymore, outside of school i am an avid fishman, ocasionally play tennis and badminton (and I bike every day)
I have earned solid A’s and throughout my high school career have accumulated (my lowest grade) 4 A- 's in Hp english 9, Hp biology and 2 in AP lang and comp
I have a 29 composite on the ACT and am taking it again hoping (and praying) to get in the 30’s
my dad is an alum
I am also a white male hoping to go into chem engineering
