My chances?

Hi I am a rising senior from NJ. I was wondering what my chances of getting into CWRU would be, considering my unweighted GPA is fairly low. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
My highest SAT score is a 1500/1600.
My unweighted GPA is a 3.43 and my weighted GPA is a 3.7.
I have done so many hours volunteering at hospitals and with the special olympics in my state for people with Downs Syndrome.

Not gonna lie, its looking grim. Go ED1 if you can and you have a light shot. Low GPA is acceptable if you took 7 APs at the same time.

With that said, be very careful where you apply the ED. If you swing and miss, your options in the RD is very limited. Not sure what schools are your safeties, but prepare for significant drop off.

So use ED wisely.

Good luck to you.

SAT looks great…but GPA may be a bit low…what classes did you take?

@banyanyach What is your intended major? Nursing is easier than getting onto say Arts and Sciences in chemistry. Even though Case does not have quotas by major, they do look at your intended major, and if you intend to study nursing, and say so on your application, it could help you get admitted.

But think about what you want to major in carefully. CWRU Nursing is a lot of clinical time, so senior year is almost entirely spent working in a hospital, but you will have about three years of classes to get a BSN in nursing, the high school GPA and SAT in the nursing college at Case is a little bit lower than other majors at Case. CWRU Nursing students need to return to CWRU about two weeks early in your senior year to complete all the clinical hours needed to graduate. So the nursing calendar is different than Arts and Sciences, engineering or business degrees at CWRU.
