My chances?

I'm applying RD.
91.9 average (3.almost7?) Courseload is tough, but not the toughest
Prestigious Magnet School (Bronx Science)/Doesn't rank
2040 SAT - 650 M, 680 W (essay sucked), 710 CR
Math IC - 740; Chemistry - 730

Varsity Indoor Track (10, 11, 12, Captain)
Varsity Outdoor Track (10, 11,12)
Varsity Cross Country (10, 11, 12)
Hospital Internship
Nurse's Office - Volunteering (11, 12)
Russian Cultural Society (9, 10, 11, Secretary)
Arista: National Honor Society
One college course (A) and worked one of the summers.

Somewhat recent immigrant from Russia (7 years).
Essay is about immigration and is interesting/well-written/etc.
Both recs will be strong, but one will be more so.

The fact that you're a recent immigrant is a huge "hook." I think you look good.

But that's just my opinion, and I have no official input!

^ Really? I wish, lol.

immigrant should not be confused with international student. unless you present your transition from russia to the united states as an event that strengthened ur character, then it doesnt help much.

but even with that aside, you have very similar stats compared to me (I have the exact same avaerage of 91.9 and a 2000 SAT). But you have multiple athletics and volunteer under ur belt, so I would hope you get in.

If I'm confident in anything about my application, it's my essay, although I didn't write about strength of character. I believe that aspect will come through in my counselor rec, since she mentioned it a lot.
On another note, I can't believe someone has my exact average in my school (aaah).
