your cumulative UC GPA is a 3.54 which is fairly decent but makes UCSB a reach for you.

if i were you, this summer, since you only have 6 honors/ap semesters of extra GPA points(english 10h and world history honors isnt given extra points) and the cap is 8 extra points, i would take 2 easy community college classes that you know you can get A's in(make sure they're UC approved). that way you get the maximum out of your grades.

if you do take those 2 classes and get A's in them your GPA will go from a 3.54 to a 3.66 which is a tremendous jump and gives you a decent chance at ucsb.

As far as your SAT, try to break 1900, you want to be better than average, and UCSB's SAT averages around 1800. SAT II's score above 650.

as far as the information im giving you...im a peer college counselor so i know my stuff. i really think you'll be a shoe in if you get a 3.66 gpa and an SAT of over 1900

also some insight into my stats, i have a 3.64 UC GPA, 2030 SAT I, 780 and 690 SAT II.
however, when i did go to the ucsb tour in the summer, i had a 3.64 gpa, 1910 SAT I, 670 and 690 SAT II and i went and asked an addmissions officer if he could tell me what my chances were, he said with my stats(1910, 670,690) i was pretty much a shoe in.
