My chances....

I'm looking to apply to Stern as Finance major, regular decision. I know my sats could use a little bump, I'm waiting on my december SAT's to hopefully bring my critical reading and math up by a few points.

My stats are:
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: White
Location: New Jersey
College Class Year: 2012
High School: Public - among the very top public high schools in my state
I recently moved to my new school, which is why some of the club activities are discontinuous since not all are available at my new school

Academic Stats:
Unweighted GPA -93.984
Weighted GPA - 95.79
Class Rank: top 10% at least - (my school only gives 5 points for H. or AP classes so there are a lot of kids above me who took easy course loads while I took the hardest classes available)
Class Size: 415
SAT I's - 670 CR, 650 M, 710 Writing
SAT II's - 740 Molecular Biology, 780 US History, 650 Literature
AP's - AP US History (5), AP Biology (5), AP Psychology (5), AP English Literature and Composition (4), AP French (2); Currently taking AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, AP English Language and Composition, AP US Govt and Politics and studying AP Stats independently

Extracurricular Activities:
National Honor Society (2007-2008)
French National Honor Society (2005-2007)
FBLA (2005-2008)- held leadership position as treasurer for 1 year before moving; participated in Regional Competitive Events winning 1st place in Accounting 2; particpating in RCE again this year
Key Club (2006-2007); now Interact Club (2007-2008)
Science Olympiad (2007-2008)
French Club (2004-2007); now International Club (2007-2008)
Optimist Club (2004-2007)

AP Scholar with Honor from the Collegeboard

Don't participate in sports because I am not medically allowed to.

Community Service (decent, not really anything extraordinary I guess): Spent time at food bank with FBLA/Key Club; have repeatedly helped raise money for March of Dimes with FBLA by volunteering during lunch periods to sell items during November each year; volunteer to help babysit kids at a local school once a month; participated in food drives organized by Interact Club; helped Interact Club at a huge local fund raising event to raise money for a charity; have sold boxes of candy for Key Club to raise money for various charities

I know this may seem unimportant but it would really mean a lot to me if someone just gave me their honest opinion about this....it doesn't bother me one bit if you truly think I don't stand a chance, just say something

You're stats seem really impressive. I got into CAS ED with lower stats.

SATs are gonna hurt you big.

The only thing you need to work on are those SAT's. Try to get above a 1450 for a decent chance, as stern likes to see high math scores.

Stern is the hardest school and seems stat driven. I got into CAS with 2030 combined (550 math) but mine was a writing/english focus. Try the ACT's maybe. GPA and rigor of coursework look real good, as do SAT II's. Once that stuff is written in stone, just focus on killer essays and short answers, try to get some over-the-top recs too!

650's for math!!. there no way for finance maybe u can for international business.

I think you have a pretty good shot, although the math score may hurt, I got in with only a slightly higher math score so no worries. But, I applied ED. Best of luck :]
