Schools to apply to -

New College of FL
UCF
UF

still finding more but what chances do i hav efor those 3?

are those your dream colleges? you'd make a nice US News inspirational article ;)

Based on our limited experience with those schools, you have a reasonably good shot at UCF, I think. Are you a Fl. resident? Because, if you are, you'd have Bright Futures 100% tuition, I'm assuming ... if you did the community service hours. (you have above the 1270 required for SAT, and probably the GPA). As far as UF, two years ago our son was turned down from UF with higher stats than yours all the way around ... and greater E.C.'s too. So, I'd say that school would be more of a reach. However, I would NEVER say don't apply somewhere ... there could be something in your application that stands out (whether it's your essay or your particular EC's). I have no idea about NF, sorry.

thanks!!! i don't have my heart set on UF, even though they have an amazing english program. i know it's a reach. i like ncf and ucf...both suit my needs and both appeal to me but they're so different!
and yep...fl.

^^
Also, I notice that you have a lot of creative writing in your EC's. I'm a writer, too. And I have an on-line "friend" who used to go to school at UCF. She's in New York, I think now ... anyway, she was one of the editors on UCF's "Florida Review," a creative writing journal, and loved it. She also had a drama background, and she was a "character" at Disney for a job, which she totally got a kick out of .... :)
