I want to apply as an Electrical Engineering Major.

I think you have a good chance. A USC admissions officer came to my school and told us that USC first looks at your grades. If you don't have the grades, then you don't have a chance. But your GPA is fair. The average SAT score is about 2000 also. Maybe try to bring both up a little.

Average SAT is closer to 2100 if I recall correctly. I think you've got a shot, but grades are a tad low and SAT is a tad low as well. But you may make up for it with the challenging course load and strong EC's. Good luck!

you have a good shot..I imagine electrical engineering would be veryy competitive so maybe retake your SATs just in case..but they really consider so many factors, so I think you're in a good position :)

thanks guys!
im pretty much gonna retake my SATs so my superscore, since that's what they look at, is a 2100 or above. Hopefully, this would help me.

Now, the reason why I brought up the PSAT was because one of my friends got in with a Presidential Scholarship ( half-ride). But his stats...
2210 SAT
800 SAT 2 Math, 750 SAT 2 Bio
3.4 Unweighted 3.7 weighted
National Merit Finalist
ok ECs

Although his grades were not the best ( but his SATs were kickass), he got a scholarship for being a finalist. I was wondering If my scores would have an impact too.

you definitely have a shot you have great ec's which will help you stand out. Do retake the SAT's and see if you can improve your score and you should be in.

All NMF finalists who are admitted to USC and list USC first on NM forms are automatically awarded the 1/2 tuition Presidential scholarship. But that is the only big advantage we can see from PSAT because adcoms will look at SAT or ACT.

You have plenty of time to work on your SAT score and retake the exam. Your 800 on the Math II is wonderful. And if you are taking AP Calc, that will also be well-regarded for your major. Best of luck.
