wow.

just wow.

you got into every UC AND CORNELL????????????? you had 2060 SAT.

2060 is a good score, but kids with 2200's and great EC's get rejected from Cornell, LA, etc.

can you tell me what exactly you did?

4.0 UW fine
2060 fine
decent/average EC's fine

What else?? there has to be somethingggggg

Savoirfare is jealous.......cuz I'm amazing

sorry, your Stats are too low. Yale, Harvard, Stanford, and UPenn are a huge reach. But, you havr a chance at John Hopkins, and UC Berk, or a slight reach at Rice though, maybe.

Ok final results-

8/6

thebrown-
subjective - my essays were considered good by many who read it
In state for UCs
I also was very passionate about my major - I developed websites, worked, and even created a small game. HTH.

I just wish I could've done better on my SATs. My counselor said that I took hard classes and my SAT didn't really represent me. I don't know why I messed up there..

Nice you got into NYU. Why did Carnegie reject you? it doesn't make sense. You would be a really good applicant for Carnegie...probably because their Comp Sci school is IMPOSSIBLE. Anyway, Congratulations, I mean, you weren't expecting to get into Harvard right?

Where are you going to go? personally, LA or NYU all the way.

I think another reason CMU was that my SATs were sent in on end of March. Stupid College Board sent in SAT II but not I. So my counselor had to fax it in.. Oh well.

I'm deciding b/w Cal, Cornell and UCLA now..

not NYU :[

hmm Cornell has the "ivy" tag

do you care about the location? if you don't, then I would look into the highest salary/ job placement by each individual college. [and of course CAL comp SCI vs LA vs Cornell]

but hey, you got into a lot of really good colleges. 4.0 UW + 2000 sat + interesting achivements made you a very attractive canidate.

good luck with whatever you choose!

Thanks. I actually decided against NYU simply because I really don't like living in the NYC (in the city).. Also the fact that NYU lacks a campus and cohesion also is..

I love the Bay Area which is why I'm leaning towards Cal, and Cornell is a bit expensive, but I have one more month.

Thanks to everyone who responded to this post from way back when!

dude CAL noooo

I go to Cupertino high btw

I don't know WHY you would want to stay here

unless you LIKE indian people

haha

jk

LA LA LA

and Cornell

not CAL

:]

1) I go to Lynbrook
2) I am Indian ;)

thebrown - peopel with 2200 do NOT get rejected from cornell
at least nobody in cupertino did

Are you sure? 2200 is a damn good score I can never get...but many people have them and apply to Ivies... [of course, if you don't have 3.6+ to complement it, then you're going to get rejected]

I always thought Cornell was hard? it is hard, just maybe not that hard compared to Columbia or Upenn

no, everyone who applied with a 2050+ got in, except one girl.

nobody got into UPenn, MIT, Stanford, Yale, Princeton

but TONS of people got into Berk and UCLA and Corn

interesting.

hmm

well thats a good thing right?

also, did they have 4.0 UW with 2050 or something? because that would make sense

someone told me peter wu got into UCLA with full scholarship

Cornell I'm not sure about but a lot of people from here got into LA and Cal..
