Based on your GPA and class rank, I think you’ll be admitted. If you show some interest this summer (visit, e-mail for info) you may get a “Priority Application” e-mailed to you at the end of the summer. It is a free, streamlined app that my D filled out online over Labor Day weekend. She had her answer by October.

Ursinus was a safety school for me as well 3.8 and 2040 plenty of extra-curriculars 2 sport captain…
despite getting accepted to so called “more prestigious” schools Ursinus gives GREAT financial aid packages and its campus is beyond gorgeous not to mention a brand new hugeeeeeee athletic center… Ursinus is definitely the most underrated and best kept secret among the top tier LACs

My D had somewhere around a 3.4 GPA in high school, in the mid-level math and science courses and some honors courses in the humanities. She got $17,500 a year and has really enjoyed her time there so far, just finishing her sophomore year. She had a summer fellowship there this summer, an eight week program paying $2500 where she worked one on one with a prof on a project she developed. She ended up doing a 28 page research paper on her topic and gave a power point presentation to fellow students and faculty. This is the type of opportunity that I think would be hard to come by for a second year student at a large university. And the scholarship was much welcomed, of course.

Parent100 – I don’t mind sharing. Her best scores were Reading 690, Math 620, Writing 660. She also visited the campus twice (one was one of those Red and Gold days) before attending the day where they interview the students they have identified as scholarship candidates. Her teachers also thought she had an exceptional essay, so that might have had an influence as well.
