so im probably gonna apply as an english major; i guess i just wanna know how my chances are, because i dont have many extracurriculars..im wondering if the sat will balance that out or what. Thanks!

My GPA was even lower than yours, and I got in. My SAT was a bit higher, and I took more AP’s, but you have about 10x the extra-curriculars, so don’t worry so much!

GPA is really the most important, SAT scores are definitely over hyped as well. My suite mates had sat scores ranging from 1600-1900 with GPA’s ranging from 3.6-3.9.

You’re higher than them in terms of both… and you have EC’s… so I think you can get in.

By the way, if you don’t get in at first… APPEAL! Appealing really works, I know people who’ve appealed UCI, UCLA, UCB, etc and got in, because spaces opened up for those who were offered admission but declined to go to other schools (not one hundred percent sure about the reason but definitely consider it).

u can get in with (a really high GPA and low SAT) or (a really high SAT but low GPA)
my SAT was really bad but i got 4.0 unweighted, 4.3 weighted so I still got in.
