Is your SAT out of 1600 or 2400? Cause that definitely makes a difference.

It sounds like your score is out of 1600, especially with an unweighted gpa of 3.4, and several aps and honors. Not bad for the first time as a junior. Do you have a weighted gpa? Are you also taking the act test? How many total aps and honors to you anticipate ?

Extracurriculars also play an important part in presenting yourself as a well rounded student. More is not always better. Depth in some of these activities is important. Things like playing the same sport multiple years; volunteering ( choose an area or two vs many areas with a little time in each); a talent such as artistic/musical etc.; school clubs/activities ( leadership positions look good, less activities more depth/time in each )

It looks like you are on the right track. My daughter still has not chosen her college. She is a senior, not much time left. She is very interested in Miami and has visited twice. Most students at her school get accepted easily. She does go to a rigorous private school. She has a 3.3 weighted average ( school weights very little, all class levels difficult ). She has a 31 act, 1410/2100 sat ( took each test twice, raised act from 26 and sat from 1350 ).
My daughter has been offered a spot in the honors program. They are good about taking more of a holistic view for admission/honors, not so much for academic scholarships.

Hope this helps! Visit the school to see if Miami may be a fit for you. Good Luck!

the score i mentioned was out of 1600. i forgot my score out o 2400. I go to a public school, however it has been ranked best public school in the state (ct) for the past couple years and many kids from my school have gotten into miami
