Taking 4 online classes to raise gpa, and taking 2 AP classes senior year.

What else can I do to increase my chances?

I'm submitting my apps early September, probably the first couple of days they will be open. I will be finishing the classes i'm taking online with A's before that. I also have an F in Ap American History, one of my online classes is American History Honors. It will be replacing the grade. I finished this one with an A and it should be going in soon. Would this raise my GPA to a good extent? Will FSU like that I got 4 A's during summer?

A representative from advising told us during orientation that the average GPA for entering 2010 freshman is 3.7 FSU weighted, with an average SAT score of 1760 out of 2400. I would say you have a decent chance, but try to get your scores up if you can. You’d do better if you could get your ACT up to 27 or 28 or your SAT up to 1800. Good luck!

Like Orchid said, you do have a decent chance, but you never know. I have a couple of friends who had higher test scores and GPA’s than I did and didn’t get in. Retake the tests, any higher score is better than no improvement. Apply early.

Just apply with what you have. Take the earliest tests that are available in the Fall and send them in when you get the results. They will go by the highest compiled scores and it may help your chances if you show you are still trying to do better.

looks like the ACT offers a test in Sept.–see if you can get that up and that score would be reported before the oct. deadline. again, they will take the best composite of all act tests–that helped my son a lot since he got a 30 on one of the tests he took but didn’t replicate it on the next one. you might be able to put on the application that you took oct. sat with results pending so they will be looking for it.

Current year data is for 2009-2010. The data on incoming 2010 freshman is not posted yet. I’m not sure when it will go up. The “requirements” for incoming freshman (in the admissions section) still show the profile for the 2009-2010 cohort. I think the 2010 info will be up around the first of August.
