Planning to apply for engineering and applied sciences.
Any other colleges recommended for me( will apply for financial aid)

Do you need Financial Aid? If not, then you’re safely into Hopkins and UCLA with very good chances at Cornell.

hey Princeton Dreams ,
do I have chances at the other colleges i’m applying to-
Texas A and M university
Texas at Austin
MIT (just applying for fun, no hopes.)
Northwestern
Purdue
Should I apply at Princeton (as you’re PrincetonDreams )?
Stanford
Columbia

Texas A and M university: IN! But don’t go here, it’s a terrible school for someone of your caliber.
Texas at Austin: In.
MIT (just applying for fun, no hopes.)= Very unlikely. Do you have any International Science Awards? Those could help.
Northwestern: No aid=In; aid=Unlikely.
Purdue: Same as above.
Should I apply at Princeton: Sure, why not? Princeton has the best undergraduate education in the world! I don’t go there btw :stuck_out_tongue: As for your chances: Unlikely but you can try.
Stanford: Unlikely with or without aid.
Columbia: Apply ED and without aid, and you just might get lucky.

Good luck! :)

No awards . We did not have anything at our school. We did have national science Olympiads but the level of study was not good enough and we weren’t encouraged to prepare for them anyway. (I did get ranked in top 5% though.)
Cornell has special aid for Indian UG students, provided by TATA group, the largest company of India. So for Indian students admission is essentially need-blind.
As for Texas A and M , I am just keeping it for spares (In case I do not get in the others or IITs.). And their engineering program isn’t very bad. Try this link :

Can you suggest me any other good engineering colleges (I totally rely on the net , I have no other assistance ). And cost is a factor , my family income is around 25000 only.

Yeah, I know about the TATA Scholarship. Although I feel I should point out here, the TATA Scholarship, while allowing a greater number of needy students to attend Cornell, has made the competition for spots from India all the more fierce.

True, but Texas A and M doesn’t have the reputation of being a ‘good’ school in most academic circles.

If that’s in Rupees, you’ll need some serious Financial Aid. :P

It’s not in rupees!
I converted to dollars for making it easy for others to comprehend.

Lol, I know, I was just messing around. :)

Good luck with the applications!
