<p>You're in. I would emphasize your music background, and any other unique EC</p>

<p>The fact that you're from Kentucky is probably even more important. That is pretty unusual in Vassar's admissions pool and geographical diversity is important to them. You might think about getting in touch with the music department, send a tape, etc. If they think you'll be valuable, they'll put a note in your admissions file.</p>

<p>Does the same go for singing? I'm classically trained and extremely involved in singing groups etc (church choir since forever, select groups at school, musicals, lessons...), but I'm not sure whether I'd qualify as 'valuable' enough for the music department to put a note in my file...how badly do they need/want singers? Could doing something like that hurt my chances or do you think it might help?</p>
