Hello, I recently got my sat scores and my scores are horrible, 1300, it was the first time I took the SAT and I am a senior, last year I did not even knew the existence of the test because I was new in the U.S.A., well I am from Mexico and I lived my entire life in Mexico, and during my junior year I moved here to the U.S.A. And I have to be honest that my counselors did not explain me anything about test or something like that. Now I know that those scores are extremely important to colleges, in product I am sad because it was the first and last time I took the sat.
The maybe 'advantages' of my condition is that in Mexico I took several AP Classes (around 20), my unweighted GPA is 3.857. I also participated in several academic contest were I won the 1st place. I do sports (soccer, softball ). Also many extracurricular activities and community service. And I really want to attend Stanford but now it is an impossible. What do you think ?

My chances to get accepted to Stanford or any UC*

Your chances are a bit low. I would suggest studying a lot, and maybe you should take a gap year to set your scores straight and figure out what you want to major in. Stanford is pretty selective. Hope this helps.

Also I am in the top 10% of my class. Oh well this is so sad :(, however I will apply to Stanford I hope they will accept me.
