AHHHH. I got an e-mail today saying that my sociology class (SOC 308 Punishment & Society) is in the process of being canceled. I first thought, "Bummer. Oh well. I will just pick another class that fits my schedule", but then I read on and it says the next available add/drop period starts August 23rd. I'm stressing out now. Any suggestions?

there’s nothing you can do right now, so calm down. when school starts, there will be a lot of people switching classes in the first week so I’m sure you’ll get one that fits your schedule.

Oh wow, I had actually signed up for that class too, but then a 302 opened and I decided to take that instead. Lucky me…

You have to wait until the 23rd, but so does everybody else. So just pick what you want, and wake up early that day. Start checking after the 12th though, since that is when all the spots will open up from people who forgot to pay their tuition.

To pay tuition all you have to do is click on “pay with financial aid” right?

I’m not sure how it works with financial aid covering all of it. I just clicked on “Pay” and let it EFT/deduct the money from a bank account. It took out the amount that my scholarships don’t cover, and the rest is sitting with the notification “This will be covered once your aid is released.”
