Hi! I’m going to be a freshman this year at SDSU. Orientation just passed and I have registered for my courses for the fall. I was wondering since that all my classes are in the middle of the day, would it prevent me to doing club activies, and rushing, and other school activies. Here is my schedule.
MONDAY
1:00-1:50, 3:30-4:45, 5:00-6:15
TUESDAY
11:00-12:15, 2:00-3:15, 4:00-5:15
WEDNESDAY
9:00-11:40, 3:30-4:45, 5:00-6:15
THURSDAY
11:00-12:15, 2:00-3:15
FRIDAY
No Class
Not hearing the gratitude that you are attending a top taxpayer funded University.
Our son organized his schedule so that he didn’t have class all day every day. Oh, you don’t have classes on Friday! Give me your name and I’ll fly back down to SD and personally speak to the registrar about your schedule.
Drink on Friday, Sat and Sunday.
@TheSwimmerPoet - Part of being an Aztec is having a wacky schedule, so everyone understands. You take the schedule you can get. I don’t know about this year’s Rush schedule, but you should be absolutely fine with activities, clubs, etc. If you really want to be in a club or a sorority/fraternity but have a class during the assigned meeting time, just meet with them and explain the situation. SDSU is a great university, and everyone seems to be really flexible time-wise. The only thing you might have a problem with is that your schedule may conflict with some of your professors’ office hours. When this happens, just email your professor explaining that your class schedule conflicts with their office hours, and ask if there is another time that they are available to meet. Also, include a copy of your own schedule so they can see your availability. Reaching out to them usually works.
