My college list!

This is my college list and i would love to hear some inputs or advice regarding it. My situation is slightly confusing.

I am an American citizen but have been brought up in India and need a hefty amount of aid. My fafsa efc is 0. My sat score is 1340/1970(670 r, 670 m, 630 w) and i regave it in december and hope/think it will improve.Sat 2's are 670 lit and 660 maths 2c.
I have lots of ec's most importanly i am a school captain and also have glowing recs.
My class 10th percentage (which is a national exam) was 91% which is considered to be very good and got all A's.
I expect to get 92% this year (again national exams and all A's)

Also since i have been living outside i am an OOS for all states- this leaves
me in an awkward position.

My uncle(father's brother) lives in boston and i am partial to the east coast because then i can visit them frequently.

also i am applying for bachelors in economics

So please now look at my college list.

reaches (high)
Yale(if december sat improves) (there's no harm in trying is there)
Johns Hopkins University
Cornell
Amherst(if december sat improves)

Reach/match
Carnegie Mellon
Berkeley (submitted)
University of michigan@ ann arbor
Carleton
colgate university

Matches
University of Illinois @ urbana champaign
Bucknell university

safeties
Umass @ amherst
University of Ohio@columbus

so please tell me what you think????
any advice and input will be really appreciated as i have noone to give me any advice here.

they're fine IMO.

BUMP >anyone else has some suggestions.......

The groupings (reach, match, safety) look okay, but you seem to have a lot of reaches and reach/matches. You might want to take a couple off of those lists because it's just a lot of schools to apply to.

thats true^ but the thing is that i like most of those colleges above and their applications aren't that hard- alsoi need a lot of fin aid- so the number of colleges i am applying to is a lot.
can you suggest some safeties for me on the east coast which give good aid.

It looks good, but I'd cut a few. Even if you are looking for decent aid, you still don't need to apply to 11-13 colleges, especially when a number of them don't take the common app.

Maybe Clark University?

^which ones would you cut?
