Alright so I am a junior who has been dreaming about Princeton for like the last 2 days at least I promise. However, I am a little sure about the number/type/amount of standardized tests I should take. Alright here is my current plan.

October 2005: SAT 1- 2040(630cr, 690m, 720wr)=RETAKE!!!
January 2005: SAT 2- Math 2C and Physics
April 2005: SAT1(hopefully last time)
May 2005: SAT 2-USH/Chem/Lit
June 2005: retake whatever I need to

OK folks, my question is what scores should I be aiming at on these tests to make myself a competitive applicant for Princeton???

Thank you, any help will be appreciated.

Eh, hard to say. I'll give scores that shall make you competitive (i.e if you're the average applicant w/o hook, they'll continue to look at it). It takes a lot more to actually get in than SAT scores though.

SAT I retake: 2200+ (though 2250+ would be preferable and 2300+ nice)
SAT II Math 2: If math/sci/eng major: 780+ (though anything less than 800 may come under scrutiny because of the curve). Else 720+
SAT II Physics: 750+ if math/sci/eng major. Else 700+
SAT II USH: If history/social sci major, 750+; Else 700+
SAT II Chem: If math/sci/eng major, 770+; Else, 700+

Never took SAT II Lit, so no clue on that one. Remember, it's just a guess on my part from people I know. If someone else on this forum has a better idea, feel free to rip this up.

Anyhow, good luck!
