My Collegeboard Roadmap

Alright so I am a junior who has been dreaming about Cornell for like the last 2 days at least I promise. However, I am a little sure about the number/type/amount of standardized tests I should take. Alright here is my current plan.

October 2005: SAT 1- 2040(630cr, 690m, 720wr)=RETAKE!!!
January 2005: SAT 2- Math 2C and Physics
April 2005: SAT1(hopefully last time)
May 2005: SAT 2-USH/Chem/Lit
June 2005: retake whatever I need to

OK folks, my question is what scores should I be aiming at on these tests to make myself a competitive applicant for Princeton???

Thank you, any help will be appreciated.

I don't get it....you're dreaming about Cornell, yet you're asking about strategizing for Princeton?

for princeton: be perfect in every way, and then make sure to be a URM. it's that easy.

Preferably, you should get 2400 on SAT I and 800 on your SAT II's. Seeing as you're not URM, that's the only way.

I thought you knew.

i bet you were dreaming of cornell ;)

You don't need five SAT II's; try to focus on the three in which you have the most success to date. What science(s) are you taking currently? Unless you are exceptional, taking the SAT II Physics without completing a year of study is not going to yield a great result.

Also, you are unlikely to improve from a May to a June retaking. May is crowded with AP tests anyway; you may want to shift your SAT II's to June and plan on retaking whatever you need in October and/or November of 2006. Studies have shown a remarkably quick maturation of the brain in the late teens, and you may as well take advantage of the fact that you'll be older and wiser.
