...my contribution to chance threads

Hello. I know these are annoying, so sorry in advance. While this might either feed my dreams or crush them, any feedback will give me something to do while I wait for my application results to come out. Haha. To begin, I suppose...

GPA: 3.5 unweighted, 3.83 weighted (When tri one grades come out, my grades will rise. I know they will go up to a 3.89 weighted...not sure yet for unweighted. Hamilton will see these by the deadline.)

ACT: 31 superscore, 36 in reading (if that helps at all...)

Recs: One will be amazingly stellar, another will be good.

Essay: It's nearly complete. My AP English teacher is reviewing it, and it will be perfected by next week and all ready to go. My counselor, who used to read college essays for a living, said its a very unique topic with clever wrting.

EC's- I've done theatre for four years, which has eaten up pretty much all my time. However I've lettered, and recieved a bar. (the step beyond lettering, I don't know if other schools do this) I'm a member of the International Thespian Society, and the treasurer of our chapter.

I got a job the summer before my senior year, at the local DQ. I'm now working in my senior year as well, during the school year.

My school is religious, and we do a retreat for juniors. Seniors lead the groups of juniors, and to be a leader for this retreat you are selected after an application process. It's a pretty big honor. It takes up a lot of time to prepare for it...not to be taken lightly.

A fashion club was started in my junior year. I'm the secretary. We do a lot of stuff. Right now we are costuming the drama department's play. (Which I'm in obviously.)

I'm in NHS...woo!

School does a "Torch Award"...recieved that 9, 10, and 11th grades, and most likely will in 12th grade. Also have gotten various subject awards (rewards for specific classes taken throughout the year).

Additional:

I interviewed at Hamilton, on campus. I live in Colorado. It was a lovely surprise from my parents, over a long weekend. I've been lurking tons and have noticed the whole "interview follow ups" thing... I got a postcard and a letter from director of admissions. Hopefully that's a good sign.

With this year's first tri grades, there is a MAJOR upward trend in my transcript. The rules of life kinda hit me in the face this last summer. So I now "get it". I'm thinking about putting this in my application, but phrasing it more eloquently of course.

That's about it. Thank you so much for your time, in advance!
