My Counselor didn't send transcripts to two of three of my Universities

I applied early action to three schools back in late-October. One of the schools was in-state, so my counselor automatically sent them my paperwork. One of the school’s admission decision date was 12/15/17, and I thought I was going to get in for sure, but they sent an email saying that I couldn’t be admitted or rejected because my high school transcripts haven’t been sent in.

I then checked the other school I haven’t heard back from and they said the same thing. Now that both early action deadlines have passed, what should I do? Both schools offered a large scholarship if you were admitted in the early decision, so it’s going to be hard for me to go to either of those schools with regular admission. Has this happened to anyone else? Can my counselor be held at fault?

You need to speak with your counselor and find out what is going on. Your counselor may be able to fisx things even at this late date.

OK, thank you for the reply!

And you need to check the portals for the schools you are applying to BEFORE the deadlines. Counselors are very busy and make mistakes, but sometimes it isn’t their fault. My daughter’s high school sent her transcripts multiple times to the college and the college misfiled them.

You have to follow up.
