My credentials aren't too specific to my intended major?

If you had to look at my application for college and guess my major...you frankly wouldn't be able to decide. I know diversity is good...but I think I may have too much of it lol. I'm not an overachiever, but I am in DECA (business club) Club Med, Youth and Government, Rubik's Cube Club(love it!) and I just cam back from a latin convention (IJCL)...it's a classics thing. As for grades, I've gotten a C in one semester of Geometry freshman year...but since then it's been pretty even across the board.

So from that you really would be able to tell that I am a Mechanical Engineering major.

I'm simply wondering if this hurts me a bit, a lot, or not at all. Also I'm thinking of making my essays geared towards mechanical engineering, and even focusing on the more math and science clubs and courses.

Not at all. A high school kid should explore different options and participate in activities they like. Ditto for college students. Besides, there usually are not a lot of HS activities centered around ME or engineering in general, other than robotics, or Math Olympiad etc.
As long as you had one or two things that you did for multiple years…

I feel like as long as you have different areas that you participate deeply in, you’re fine. (Ex. Politics, volunteer work, music…) Colleges expect that a lot of students will change their major at some point in college, anyway.
