Should I be worried about it? I mean they did receive my FAFSA but I thought maybe because of the large amounts of CSS Profiles being send to MIT that it might take a few weeks to update.

Hm, you may want to check online with collegeboard, then with collegeboard itself, for that is indeed strange.

I did my CSS Profile on February 13th, and they've already received it (minus the IDOC stuff, of course). FAFSA was the same day, and that is also reading as alreayd received. I should note though that I'm admitted EA, so maybe it was fast-tracked.

Two weeks is usually the rule for forms and such, maybe three weeks. You've waited about that long, so I say you'd be safe to check in with collegeboard and/or MIT. Of the two, MIT probably has the more helpful and accessible staff, but only collegeboard may be able to tell you if it's been received/sent out to colleges.

You don't really need to get worried about financial aid forms in the same way that you need to worry about admissions documents -- if your Profile in fact hasn't gotten to MIT, the financial aid office is great about taking documents late.

One year my dad didn't get my financial aid forms in until July. I still got a great aid package. :)

Go to the CSS PROFILE website and click on the button "check status of application". There's a difference between date of submission and date scheduled to be sent. For example, for one of mine, I submitted it online on Feb 1 and the date to be sent is listed as Feb 22.

It also says, "Some colleges and programs choose to receive your information electronically. Those colleges and programs will receive your data according to the schedule they have requested, which can be as early as the next business day after submission."

The date to be sent on the CSS Profile website says 1-30-08. Do I call Collegeboard or does CSS have its own phone number?

I sent in a written form actually.... Mine hasnt been checked off the tracker yet....

I sent my CSS profile February 15 and the tracker said that they had processed it for the past two days. However, today it says that they haven't processed it (????). I'm not quite sure what to do. Has anyone else had a case of ninjas stealing their CSS profiles or is it just me?

After seeing your post, I went and checked . Yes, the status on my
application has been reset too!

I had "received all documents" yesterday and now it is showing the
same ones that were recieved as "missing".

MIT must have downloaded something that reset all our
status codes, I am sure they will have it fixed by next
week.

:)

Have they fixed anyone else's status for their CSS PROFILE? I'm wondering if it says that they haven't received it because they reset the status or if it's just me.

Yes, it is back to normal now

:)

Sorry about that folks. We had a blip in our online display based on a bad file load, but it is all back to normal now. When something like this does happen, please let our office know and tell us that you saw it on the portal. We can look on our system and see that we have the form so that will identify the problem...
