My Current Transcript and where it can get me?

I'm a Junior in High School looking to see where i'm at and where my current GPA + SAT will get me. I'm also looking for advice on what extracurriculars to take and other things that will make my transcript look better.

Freshman Year GPA
1st Sem:3.6
2nd Sem: 4.0
Overall: 3.8

Sophmore Year GPA
1st Sem: 4.4
2nd Sem: 4.4
Overall: 4.4

Current (Projected)
1st Sem: 4.2 - 4.8
2nd Sem: 4.2 - 4.8

SAT: (Waiting on results) but fair to say 1950-ish

Extracurriculars: None (Yeah.....)

Questions:
I'm planning on interning at a private medical office for the next 2 years. Will I be able to put that on my transcript, and will it look good?
What extracurriculars should I take to make my transcript look as good as possible?
Are my GPA and SAT good enough to get into
UCSB
UCLA
UCSD
UCD
USC
UCB

You’re fine for most UC’s. Since they have a HUGE number of applicants they really do care about numbers much more than anything else (in comparison to other schools).

Internships look awesome.

As far as EC’s, try to focus on something that you’re going to continue in college. For example, I’m doing pre-med and going to focus on creating social change (volunteering, creating my own nonprofit, etc.). So, I became the president of pre-med club, president of key club, and took on around 100 hospital volunteer hours. EMPHASIZE your interests while also trying to come off as well rounded as possible.

Chance me back!

What’s your a-g UC GPA?

We’ll give you more details once we have your PSAT, SAT, or ACT results.

In the meanwhile, check out the Claremont consortium and Occidental.

I don’t think any of those schools would be out of reach. UCB and UCLA of course will be a bit harsher because of your SAT…

If you have no ECs it will be hard for UCB and UCLA because honestly there are too many kids applying with the same if not higher stats by the time they graduate and the comparison would be rough on you…
