<p>My dad works at Yale in the Pharmacology Department. Do you think that the university will consider that when deciding whether or not to accept me? I realize that whether or not I am admitted depends on other factors, but I was wondering if this will reflect on anything...</p>
<p>He needs to ask if there is any employee preference program and if he qualifies for it. Many schools have such a thing but not all employees are included. Some schools do not. In any case, since they do ask where your parents are employed, they will see it.</p>

<p>professors are sometimes regarded more highly than alumni =D my friend goes to princeton high school and the school has a abnormally large number of students matriculate to princeton because many are children of professors.</p>
<p>yeah, i mean, i know i shouldnt count on my parents' influence getting me in bc they wouldnt admit someone whos not qualified JUST bc of connections, right? it just seems such a prestigious university who could have the futures rulers of the world wouldnt give me admission just cuz im the daughter of a professor? but it'd be awesome if it does have significant benefits..</p>
