My dream college. Does it exist?

I am a rising sophomore. I have just begun thinking about colleges. I signed up to take the SAT in January. I'm white (had to say it, parents are immigrants though, does that help? oh and I speak Polish). I have almost a 4.0. I do rowing. I go to a Catholic school. I take the hardest available classes. Most importantly, I'm on top of it.

I have some needs for a college. I'm from Washington state but that doesn't matter.
Here is my selection criteria:

The college/university:

should....

*be mid-highly selective (a good name, but the HYPSM are probably too risky to apply)
*have a nice campus in a nice city with passing board
*have a great pre-med program
*do at least some research in biology, chemistry, or physics (but it does not have to be a research college ;D)
*fit the above criteria as best as it can, but missing out on a couple bullet points would be A okay!

That being said, I show interest in 2 colleges. Actually, I absolutely adore these 2 colleges: University of California, Berkeley; University of Pennsylvania

Also I like, and nothing more than 'like', University of Washington. A last resort, a backup plan.

So please give me some colleges that I might want to research. Any input is VERY welcome and much APPRECIATED!

bye

Rice, Northwestern, Emory, Vanderbilt, Washington University in St. Louis.

Northwestern and WUSTL seconded.

In addition to above, Johns Hopkins, U of Chicago, Tufts and Brandeis.

Can your parents afford to send you to UCB?

@erins dad. Yes they can. Ucb would be a dream but I’m out of state and they don’t let in any out of state applicants usually.

research the University of British Columbia. It fits almost all of your bullet points.

If the u of bc was just a couple hundred miles further from seattle, then that would be a top pick of mine. Pepperdine seems to be perfect except it looks like there’s no rowing team. Any schools like Pepperdine with rowing teams. I already know about ucb, ucla, and usc. Thanks!

Boston College seems like a good fit for you.

The University of Michigan is a fantastic choice. Southeast Michigan has the second largest Polish community in the United States and Ann Arbor is a great college town. There is a real river right in town, without cement shores, and Michigan has a rowing team too.

agree with rjk, university of michigan is exactly what you’re looking for. excellent school and the best college town: ann arbor.

Check out Reed College.
