My dream is it crushed? Transfer HELP~

Hello
I have always wanted to goto UNC since I was 5 years old..
I got 3.25 in Economics overall going into second semester of Sophmore year at SUNY Binghamton..
My GPA score is not that great and my involvement in College is near none.
Except for few community services and volunteer work.
I am thinking about retaking SAT and get involved with club next semester.
I know I am not match for this school but i really want to make my dream come true and so do my parents.
SO before you guys telling me i dont really have chance to get in. Is there any tips in helping me have more chance. I looked it up on website and it had few schools, is there easier school? and also is cross campus transfer easy enough? My main goal is to get into CAS..
HELP plz?~

I don’t know many short term things you could do, but definitely apply. Go ahead retake the SAT and get some good recommendations. I would definitely start to get involved in your college too; if you could get into some research, that might be even better.

If it doesn’t work out in time, you could always try grad school at UNC. Get that GPA up to about 3.6 or 3.7 and get more involved, and you’d have a shot at grad school at UNC.

Good luck!

Your application will be based on that 3.25, but remember that Carolina’s application process is based upon a holistic approach, not a strict numbers approach. Therefore, make SURE you write an outstanding essay and see if you can get a professor to write a very good letter of recommendation for you, then you will have done about all you can do.

But remember that essay is Carolina’s way of getting to know you. They want accepting, smart, driven, kind-hearted, well-rounded students to make up their university’s population. Use the essay to show them that is you…

Your 3.25 isn’t going to automatically dismiss you from the chance to attend Carolina just as a 4.0 isn’t going to gain you instant admission. Therefore, if you are going to spend time anywhere, make that essay your first priority! You have a couple months to get it right.

It is not rare at all for Carolina to accept junior transfers within your GPA range, but I’m sure their essays had been well prepared.

oh thank you so much
BTW do you guys think if i apply for easier major, would it be easier to get in?
