Well I took the SAT in January 2011 (Eight Grade.) I checked my collegeboard account today and my score is still on record? Is there a way to erase that?

No, there is not, but I believe if you took the exam under a talent search program you would not be required to send it in.

I actually did not take it under a research program. There was an option I believe where choose this if you are eight grade and below and that’s how I took the test.

xpurpleblob - just call college board and ask them! They do actually answer the phone (during the workday) and are very helpful. College board SAT contact number: (866) 756-7346

This is what the College Board said to me about my daughter’s score record:-

“Your daughter’s scores are kept indefinitely, unless she tested before entering the ninth grade. If your daughter tested in the seventh or eighth grade, her scores are removed from her file at the end of the year that she tested. If you don’t want your daughter’s scores removed, you must let us know before the end of June of the year she tested…”

I guess your score record will be removed at the end of 2011.

My son took it in 6th grade for Johns Hopkins CTY program. They did just automatically delete it. It was no longer on record by the time he was applying to colleges this year. I think your ok, but do call and make sure.

CB eliminates SAT scores for those taken before high school unless you act to prevent that from happening. Moreover, colleges do not use or consider pre-high school scores for admission even if you do save them.

On the collegeboard account, it does not say when I took the particular test however. is this alright?
