My English grades are terrible

I’m a freshman in high school (sophomore in like 3 months), and my English grades are ruining my GPA. I’m taking the hardest classes available, and getting all A’s except for Honors English. Even in classes like AP Statistics I got an A in, but just can’t do it for English. I’ve gotten a B, and now a B+. What will colleges think about this, and what should I do to get an A in the remaining three years? This is ruining my GPA, which obviously ruins my class rank.

Thanks for your time!

Considering you’re getting all As, with the exception of a B in an Honors English course, it is totally okay. You just completed your freshman year and you are on a great start in your high school career. Don’t stress over a single B.

It would be a completely different story if your grades were all B’s and C’s or if your English grade was a C. Colleges understand that students can’t always be perfect; having a B won’t be in the end of the world (although I know it must be annoying). You can still get into great schools with a B. What English class are you taking next year? Do you have summer work to complete for next year’s English class? What did you seem to struggle with the most in your current English class?

You were told you were fine on another nearly identical thread. Leave off the whining.

A B+? I don’t think you understand the definition of terrible.
