My essay dilemma!! Help!

I have an essay my teacher calls "brilliant" but problem is that it is 730 words! The package I recieved from NYU said 400-500 words but that instruction is nowhere to be found online (at least i can't find it). Could I submit my 730 word essay or will this violation outweight the essay? Anyone? thanks.

Please don't worry. NYU does consider every essay. However please keep in mind, "quality over quantity". If it's well written, you should not hesitate. An essay is a very important part of the admissions process for NYU does not offer official interviews. This is the part in which you must freely "sell" yourself.

In fact, I submitted my essay which was over 900 words. But I know this will surely put me on top of the rest. It was an excellent essay about an experience which I bet noone has written about.

Best of luck!

By the way, if you apply on-line through embark program, you do not have to worry about the 400 or 500 limitation. Either NYU forgot about informing the online applicants or it simply doesn't regulate when submitted online. Perhaps the reason might be that online applicants save papers and that NYU does give some flexibility to them.
