Is it possible for me to just print it out and mail it to them? It's due on January 1st, so I don't think calling them tomorrow would be an option. Any suggestions?! :(

By the way, this is for JHU.

Mail it tomorrow before midnight..I don't see how else.

Thanks

What should I include? SSN, DoB, and my full name?

By the way, this is for the JHU supplement. I didn't make that clear in my first post. This is not for the general Common App. essay, so if I do have to mail this separately, I will only have to mail it to one school.

I would put Name SS and DOB

Is it possible for me to fit what I can in the space provided and then continue the rest of the essay in the "Additional Information" area?

if it doesn't fit...aren't you just supposed to cut it?

Hmm.. if the school's name is in grey.. then you need to mail them in the entire app with the common app.

If not then just fill out their supplement by printing the PDF... and include your essay that way.

You need to first ask yourself why your essay does not fit in the common app section. You may benefit from some good editing.

It doesn't fit the common app? That's 6,000+ characters! I agree with sybbie, shorten it.

Go back to the JHU thread where you posted the same thing. One of the people in the admissions office already answered your question.

GoldShawdow, the JHU supp. doesn't give you much room. Mine was about 650 words and I needed to cut a sentence to make it fit.

My essay was about 750 words or 1 and 1/3 pages. I got a reply for the admissions office (e-mail), but it may cause a little bit of a problem. I was told to mail them my entire application in print. Unfortunately, I already sent them an envelope containing a resume, supplemental papers, and the essay I could not fit in hopes of using the Common App. and making a note in the supplement saying "please see printed essay".

Goldshadow, the supplement can only hold 3,500 characters in its response box. Sorry, if I did not make it clear before, but this essay is for the supplement not the essay on the Common App.

I'll bump this up in case anyone needs to refer to this or can bring any more insight.
