is that fine? or should it be a typical 4-6 paragraph essaY?

Paragraphs breaks imo should be determined by the nature of the material under discussion and should not be set at a predetermined number.

it’s up to you. I do’t see a prroblem with 10 paragraphs

Is there a word or character limit on the application? If so, try to stay within those guidelines

there’s a 1000 world limit. i’m above the limit by a hundred and twenty-four.

shiit that is a long essay!

WOW. That’s a long essay. I mean, granted, I would LOVE to be allowed to write essays that long, but…

Now, is that 1000 word limit “suggested” like the ones on the Common App, or is it more the “carved in stone” kind? Because if it’s a really solid limit, you shouldn’t go over it, especially when it’s such a generous limit. Maybe trim some unnecessary bits out. Odds are that in 1124 words, you say more than necessary. If not, and you can send it in that way, then just do it.

Try to filter out the useless stuff…Colleges have a 1000 word limit for a reason; they do not want you to go over 1000 because they have to read the thousands of other essays out there so they just don’t have the time.

I would not recommend going over a limit of 1000 words for one essay.

It’s for the UC’s.
they say a little over 1,000 is fine, but they give an example of 1012, not 1124.
it says that it should be between 250-1000 words…
i’ll try filtering it out.

Oh shhit,
I found out that both essays should be of 1,000 words TOTAL.
And the essay should be of minimum 250.
It took me 18 hours in one day to write this stuff.
