My essay... it burns.

1,600 words :(

How do schools view completely disregarding the world limit?

I'll be happy to let everyone read it. Please give me some great feedback!

The prompt is:

"At present you need to live the question."—Rainer Maria Rilke, translated from the German by Joan M. Burnham.

well what is the word limit?

and I'm also an 09 but I'm not applying to U of Chicago, so if you trust me to I'll be happy to read&edit

not an 09er. feel free to pm me. :)

I feel 1600 is too long. Remember that admission officers will be reading thousands of essays, and such a lengthy essay can be a turn off, unless of course the essay is exceptional and successfully grips the attention of the reader at all times. Having said that, the reader could also assume that you are unable to articulate your thoughts in a concise way, which is one of the things evaluated in the application process. But anyways PM me the essay. I want to see what you have written :-)

I'll read yours if you read mine! I'm not applying to UChicago, never fear. PM me.
