Actually, I don't think so. But you clicked, heh.

I'd ask the school counselor but he's refusing to read/concrit anyone's essays.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could look through my essay for me and give some concrit and be brutal in doing so. I have no idea whether it's too abstract or meandering or if it conveys who I am. The parents think it's not half bad, but a little unfocused.

Planning to send the essays to the following schools: Columbia ED, Brown, Tufts.

Will love if some college students/adults could help. Preferably no '09ers please?

You might begin by specifying what you mean by "concrit". If this were your essay, this word alone may serve as a red flag (especially twice in the same essay). Do you mean concrete? or constructively criticize? Sorry, if this sounds brutal, but you will not get to the schools you cite unless you use plain old English.

stnfrdstd, if you read in context of my phrasing, it obviously cannot be 'concrete'. Why in the would I want anyone to give me concrete after reading my essay? It just doesn't make sense! And well, this is a forum, no? I think some measure of colloquialism is allowed. To smooth your ruffled feathers however, I will spell it out: constructive criticism.
