<p>lol. am I going too far, guys? tell me the truth</p>

<p>well, you don’t have to admit ethnicity if you don’t want to. i just want to get a sense of the competition i am up against. most people on CC are extremely qualified and brilliant, and im wondering if they’re asian or white,etc.</p>

<p>I will start. I am 3/4 Mexican and 1/4 Nigerian (lol i wish…i’m from Asia)</p>

I thought asians were just considered asians</p>

i don't know, what constitutes as a URM?
is pakistani a URM?
if pakistani is, then bangladeshi is too.
but bangladeshis are rarer than pakis anyway.</p>

<p>i dunno, but Korean should be minority!!!! it shouldn't all be bunched up as "ASIANS" </p>

<p>Koreans only make up .38% of the American population. even all "asians" combined including indians comprise 3.61%</p>

i don't look bangladeshi though, i look korean.

but for some reason i have a dual citizenship in bangladesh, which i'm hoping won't make the colleges mistake me as being born out of the us.
i think it's because we own apartment complexes over there, and in order for me to inherit them i have to be a citizen or something...</p>

<p>If you are born out of the US, does that hurt you? In fact, I am not even a citizen, but I have a permanent resident card, so will I be fine and treated as a US applicant?</p>
